The Buddha also known as Siddhartha Gautama, was a spiritual leader and founder of Buddhism. He was born in present-day Nepal in the 5th century BCE and spent much of his life traveling and teaching. The Buddha’s teachings were based on the Four Noble Truths, which stated that suffering is a fundamental part of human existence, that suffering is caused by craving and attachment, that it is possible to end suffering, and that the way to do so is through following the Eightfold Path.
Throughout his life, the Buddha shared many insightful teachings and philosophical thoughts. These teachings, which are recorded in various texts, are known as Buddha quotes. They cover a wide range of topics, including happiness, compassion, mindfulness, wisdom, and the nature of reality.
